The BEST WAVES competition — a spin-off of the live event — spotlights the year’s best dog surfing videos in a judged head-to-head contest of viewers favorites. The World Dog Surfing Championships BEST WAVES television special is presented by title sponsor, Chef’s Pure Pets.

The program broadcasts first on August 2nd, then about 20 more repeats in August, and more over the following several months.

People ask us why we don’t sell dog surfing merch at the live event. There are two reasons. One is because the dog charities @rocketdogrescue and @peninsulahumanesociety sell their merch there, so they can raise more money. The second reason is that our World Dog Surfing Championships merch is available online all the time.
