*Humans without Dog not allowed to enter Surfing Competition
*Dogs can only enter in one Size or Weight-based contest category

Dog Weight Categories for Surfing Heats:

• Small Dog Surfing Heat - 1-20 pound dog
• Medium Dog Surfing Heat - 21-40 pound dog
• Large Dog Surfing Heat - 41-60 pound dog
• Very Large Dog Surfing Heat - 61 pound or more dog
• Tandem Dogs Surfing Heat - multiple dogs, any size
• Tandem Human/Dog Surfing Heat - 1 human and 1 dog, any size

AWARD CATEGORIES: For those competitors who cannot attend in person or are in far away locales, there is the annual BEST WAVES COMPETITION.

These World Dog Surfing award categories are for pre-recorded dog surfing videos and photographs. This is open to surfers, etc. from around the world

1. Pre-recorded dog surfing videos from 2022
2. Dog surfing photographs (from any time or event in 2022)
3. Dog beach fashion photos (from anywhere)

This includes any images and videos from social media, personal, as well as professional or editorial

These award competitions of the World Championships are open to any surfer or dog lover around the world
